Regenerating Darlington

We are committed to the sustainable economic regeneration of Darlington and have secured UK Government funding for nine projects to:

strengthen local economic and cultural assets
redevelop properties, sites and land
drive private sector investment and small business development
increase the use of the town centre.

The projects focus on three key areas, North Road and Northgate, the Town Centre, and Victoria Road. Information about the projects can be found at the links below:

These projects are overseen by Darlington Town Deal Board, which is made up of representatives from the council, local businesses, partner organisations, voluntary and community groups, and the local MP. The Board meet every 4-6 weeks – details of the board governance, upcoming meetings and meeting notes are available to view online.
