As part of the Careers team you will carry out a wide range of duties with the aim of providing a high-quality administrative support service for staff, students, and external agencies. The post requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and high levels of personal confidence in order to build relationships with external partners. Duties include:

  • Playing a key role in the organisation of careers and HE events for our students
  • Ensuring students attend their careers appointments, and following up on attendees
  • Advertising Careers information onto the relevant Google Classroom or bulletin
  • Inputting and updating information on the Careers website
  • Completing the relevant paperwork associated with external visits
  • Contacting students via email and telephone
  • Creating internal displays to advertise careers events

Fresh Start CIC is a multi-agency way to help clients gain the best outcomes possible by ensuring that they can live independently and hold their own tenancy. They help clients to manage their own tenancy independently by ensuring that they live healthy, safe lifestyles by teaching independent living skills such as budgeting, healthy living, accessing the benefits system and by accessing external agencies.

This role is working with vulnerable males from the Tees Valley areas in their times of homelessness and need to build up independent living skills. This role will consist of working with males who have been involved in the criminal justice system, have, or have had drug and alcohol issues, mental health problems and many other underlying issues. The apprentices duties will include:

  • Adhere to policies, and procedures of Fresh Start Project
  • Ensure all the Clients have the correct information
  • Advise any issues in line with the clients support plan
  • Ensure all rooms checks are completed report issue to your supervisor
  • Support clients to develop independent living skills
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle
  • Act as an advocate on the client’s behalf when making phone calls for them
  • Cleaning duties
  • Monitor and collect weekly service charges

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Care
  • Functional skills in maths and English
