Local Councillors: RED HALL AND LINGFIELD

Councillor Mandy Porter

Councillor Mandy Porter

Labour
Phone Number:

Redhall is located in the North East part of Darlington. Lingfield is located within walking distance of Redhall and they both sit within one electoral ward.

Redhall is a vibrant community which has benefitted from regeneration work in recent years. This included upgrades to council properties and investment into the local school, playing fields, pitches and a recreation area.

Located in the heart of the estate is Redhall Community Centre [external link] which has a variety of rooms for hire including a multi-function hall, office space and fully fitted kitchen. Regular activities take place 7 days a week for all age groups and people.

Red Hall school which caters to a significant number of the areas 4-11 year olds was awarded a ‘good school’ with outstanding features in the most recent Ofsted inspection.

Fun Fact

Footage of the construction of Red Hall is available online. The 20 min video is on YouTube and showcases tradesmen in the early 70’s building the estate. Just try not to look at the lack of PPE 50 years ago.
