2020.03.31 Recall: Waitrose - No. 1 Charentes Butter Croissants

The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency:

Waitrose & Partners is recalling Waitrose No. 1 Charentes Butter Croissants, packs of two units because they have been filled with an incorrect product that contains soya, which is not declared on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.

Action taken by the company
Waitrose is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

Our advice to consumers
If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to soya, do not eat it. Instead contact Waitrose customer service on 0800 188 881, option 4 to arrange a refund. If customers are making an essential trip to a Waitrose store they can return the item in-store for a full refund.
