Hazard
This product presents a serious risk of injuries because the ladder did not have a bar type stabiliser as required by the standard, in order to ensure the ladder has sufficient stability.
If the user were to set up the ladder and begin using it, most likely carrying heavy and/or bulky objects, the ladder would begin moving due to the insufficiently wide base. This would then cause the user to lose their balance and fall from a height, causing them injuries.
This product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
