Hazard
The product presents serious risk of fire as the plug is fitted with an insufficient fuse with no granular filler so cannot function properly. The supply cord's cross-sectional area is also not sufficient. Due to these faults, if there is a surge in current or a fault with the product, the plug could overheat and ignite, causing a fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
