Preparing to Work in Schools

Who is this course for?

These is an accredited course for those who wish to build upon their Level 1 Preparing to Work in Schools qualification and are considering a career as a teaching assistant in a school or college.

What entry requirements do I need to start the course?

You must provide evidence that you hold an English Level 2 qualification or are working towards it. Preferably you have also completed the Level 1 Preparing to Work in Schools course.

To start this course, you are encouraged to obtain a placement in an educational setting.

What is the curriculum intent of this course?

The structure and delivery of the course’s curriculum will enable you to develop your skills in supporting and assisting in nurseries and schools, as well as colleges.

It will prepare you for progression to become a Teaching Assistant and improve your knowledge of the role of a Teaching Assistant.
