Who do you keep information about?
We keep information about disabled and elderly people in the Local Authority area who request Concessionary Bus passes.
Why do you keep information about me?
The information we keep allows us to issue Concessionary Bus passes to those people who have applied for a pass. Keeping this information is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. We process Concessionary Travel applications in accordance with The Concessionary Bus Travel Act 2007 section 1 or Transport Act 2000 section 145.
Who can see my information?
Only named individuals in the Customer Contact Centre and Economic Growth and Neighbourhood Services department can see your information. Contact details are also made available to a print bureau in order to print bus pass and post them to the correct address.
Customer Services Team Leaders have access to Netcall telephone call recordings. Other services such as the Dolphin Centre, the Hippodrome, Children's Services and Revenues & Benefits also use Netcall, this means their Managers also have access to call recordings.
How do you store the information you keep about me?
The information is stored within a secure database. We also have information stored within a secure file on our computer network.
How long do you keep information about me?
We will keep your information for the duration of your participation with the Concessionary Travel scheme. We will dispose of all old information after 5 years and 18 months if your application was unsuccessful. This information is destroyed securely when we no longer need it.
