Who do you keep information about?
We keep information about people who take part in public consultations.
Why do you keep information about me?
This enables us to learn the views of respondents and plan investment and services.
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Council as a data controller.
The lawful basis for processing your special category personal data is it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest on the basis of Union or Member State law which is proportionate to the aim pursued and which contains appropriate safeguards.
Who can see my information?
The Strategy, Performance and Communications Team as well as specific services that run consultations will have access to your data, as will those officers who have access to the Council’s Survey Monkey account.
We may also share your information with partner agencies where it is appropriate to do so.
How do you store the information you keep about me?
Your information will be stored on our secure network.
Is my information transferred to a third country or international organisation?
As we use Survey Monkey your information may be transferred to the US.
How long do you keep information about me?
We will hold your personal information for up to 6 years following the closure of a consultation.
