Who do you keep information about?
We keep information about any individual who is issued with a Penalty charge notice in the Borough.
Why do you keep information about me?
The Council processes this information as it is necessary to enable the Council to perform the task which is carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
Who can see my information?
Access within the local authority is restricted to members of staff within the Parking Processing team.
Information may also be shared with the following external companies:
- Imperial Civil Enforcement Solutions (ICES)
- Traffic Enforcement Centre (TEC)
- Traffic Penalty Tribunal (TPT)
- DVLA
How do you store the information you keep about me?
Information is hosted off site on a secure network server by Imperial Civil Enforcement Solutions.
How long do you keep information about me?
- Financial records are kept for 3 years
- Penalty Charge Notice appeals for 2yrs
- DVLA registered keeper information 5yrs
This information is destroyed securely when we no longer need it.
How did the Council get my personal data?
Sometimes the information we use is provided by the individual themselves. When the information is not provided by the individual the Council will obtain the information it requires from the DVLA. In cases where your personal data was obtained from the DVLA we will inform you of this when we contact you.
